GREENS - ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS

A homage to my best friend, confidant, the loveliest person I’ve ever known -my sister- and the 5 wonderful years we lived together as adults. As my number one smoking partner she always gives others the first hit with a smile asking “Greens?” like the giver she is. This piece is comprised of mostly her items like her bed comforter, shawls, and candles. As well as our collective items like our beloved spike bong we bought together when she moved cross country to live with me, our allegiance to clear liquor and plants we cared for together. I wanted this to be a vibrant youthful depiction of the kind of ease and comfort you get smoking in a neon lit room about to watch something with someone you hold dear.
